💡 Kingwin KPST-01: Advanced PC Power Supply Tester with Digital LCD Screen Review

I built my first pc and when I flicked the switch nothing happened. I ordered this to check and make sure the power supply was ok. It was. It turned out that my problem was due to the wrong connection of the reset switch. I watched a YouTube video to learn how to use this tester. Written instructions are included in the package but I do visual training. Good basic tester for the price!

I bought this to test out a few power supplies I wasn't sure about. I've tested them all and this tool has been invaluable. Like it a lot. A small gripe is that the plastic over the screen is very thin and I'm afraid of piercing it and destroying the screen.

Not sure how to use it but here is 1. I plug in the 24 pin power cable from the PSU but it only beeps while the LL is flashing so I add a plug the cpu to the other side then it stops beeping2 then I try sata power plugs male and male, Molex registered what I was expecting but it still told me i think I wanted to know how the PSU works

I wanted to test my PSU before exposing it to my expensive PC components. The power supply tester did exactly that after I figured out how to use it (the instructions were a bit flimsy (for a beginner). Thankfully the videos came to the rescue again. I have no way of judging the quality of the footage or this is a good product and knowing that my power supply was good (or at least not very bad) was a great comfort to me as I was making my first home built computer in 20 years.I recommend it.

This is much better than my old tester. No more fiddling with jumpers and test pins, plug and play. Required for troubleshooting.

is a pretty solid piece but questionable to use. The 24 pin connector works well and the very extremely limited "instructions" half directions don't seem to provide consistent or accurate answers for other P4, P6, P8 peripherals. such as SATA, CPU or GPU ports. The 3 green LEDs simply do not illuminate on known good ports. It is impossible to understand if something is broken or not. very bad. looked simple and easy enough to figure out which ports go where.

5 stars good price if you don't need to test PCI 8-pin. I hope they make a new model soon. Displays the voltage for a 6-pin 12V PCIe line or a legacy 8-pin 12V line, SATA LEDs only.
