Dishwasher safe, easy to sharpen and great value, the KitchenAid Classic forged knives are one of my favorite everyday knives when I don't feel like hand washing things. This chef's knife is heavily used and has withstood many trips in the dishwasher. It can also be sharpened wonderfully. I like it so much I've started replacing the rest of my cheap knives with this line. I also have steak knives and a utility knife and both are excellent.
