🔊 High-Performance Klipsch CDT-5650-C II In-Ceiling Speaker - White (Each) Review

Bought some time ago for my husband for Christmas and ended up installing it. They were perfect for adding a little background noise.

I installed 4 of these for the Atmos 5.1.4 configuration and they sound great. The tweeters are directional, which only enhances the three-dimensional sound effect of the atmosphere.

These speakers don't look huge. I use them to set up Atmos and they work great. I have an attic above my room and I put molded shipping material on it to protect it from insulation.

Installed a Marantz 11.2 surround sound system in a new home theater. The customer was over budget for the AVR and wanted to turn down the ceiling speakers. The room is smaller, 12 by 13 feet. I was looking for the best playback quality for the budget. The Klipsch CDT-5650-C II was really cheap on a best day. So I bought 4 for top level sound. So far, so good. Good performance. Plays well with other speakers.

This is amazing. There are virtually no bezels, they can be noisy and I don't consider them an eyesore. You should plan for a subwoofer if your goal is music, but they do produce a bit of bass. Overall great size, looks and quality. Oh yes, installation is easy. Leave yourself an extra wire and you're done. Holes can be cut to about a quarter of an inch, so all you have to do is do your best and you'll be fine.

I have checked the quality of these speakers and all the results are excellent. So price mattered. The price I got from the Revain seller was too low to believe. The speakers came in new unopened boxes. No problems found. Installation, however, was a different story. The dimensions of the speakers corresponded to those specified. But the hole in the ceiling for the speakers I replaced was a quarter inch smaller. It took a lot of work. Bottom Line: When replacing speakers, make sure the holes…

These are great speakers. Bright, rich, detailed sound. Targeted tweeter. I have a 7.1 system consisting of 7 of these and a 10" Klipsch wireless subwoofer.
