Ordered 2 of these filters. I used one immediately and kept the other. Well, today for the first time I tried using an unopened network filter and nothing, it doesn't work. Unfortunately I missed the return window. I will definitely buy a different brand next time.

It looks and feels like a nice solid product. I like that it has an on/off switch on the side and that the cord is a decent length. I find it funny that they left an "empty" space in between: I see how sometimes you have a bigger cork and end up closing the next space, but since there's space here I don't see why not. use it anyway.

After a devastating lightning strike in 2003 that destroyed many electrical and electronic equipment, I now "protect" all my expensive electronic equipment with a "surge protector" to save myself the heartache and expense of replacing it spare, which my mother owes again because of strikes of nature. My only complaint is that the anchor slots on the back allow for NOTHING except a head of nail to secure it. WHY?

Very durable. I think this is the only one that supports 1200 joules. Think washing machine etc. I only use it for small things like a printer, small TV and antenna and soon a soundbar. You can feel the difference between this one and others you have bought in the past. Wow! I also think that this is a new proposal. Try it, you pay the same price for 1/2 Joule!

I bought this because I needed a line filter with a "side" connector. I used to have many network filters that worked almost indefinitely. It broke less than a year after purchase. The light turns on as if it's working, but the connected devices don't have enough power to work. For example, my monitor's light comes on like it's getting power, but the monitor doesn't actually turn on. I would suggest avoiding this and getting a higher quality unit!

I bought this surge protector to charge my phone and laptop. I've had it for about a year and a half now. It was fine at first. I appreciated the extra space between the last connector and the next on a larger transformer. However, I have found that only one spot in the strip now works to power anything. Ordered April 15, 2019 (6 months). I didn't need it right away because I had ordered 2 other similar items with the same order. Used it today 15th October 2019 and it is defective. When I plugged it in and turned on the power button, the light/guard light came on to indicate the unit was on. I plugged in the Element but it didn't turn on. Checked with a night light. I love that it's rated at 1200W, a good choice if you live in areas with a risk of lightning/thunderstorms like here in Kansas. Excellent protection for expensive electronic devices for the price. I also like that it has two wide sockets for items that use transformers and a trip indicator. A six foot cord is a good compromise for my eight foot workbench in the garage.
