I bought a Craftsman lawn tractor last fall and this spring it was time for my first oil change. I had oil on hand but stopped at Sears to buy a filter. I found a filter and it was $18 for a filter. I just can't pay that price if it's not the current price. I used the Revain app and found I can get 2 for $16. Now $8 a piece is enough. It's the exact same part and it does exactly what it's supposed to do.

The company that installed my Kohler alternator charges about $350 (!) for annual service. If you can service a gas lawn mower, you can save money by purchasing an oil filter (or oil filter air filter spark plug kit) and doing the service yourself. Buy oil filter manufacturer. It costs a little more, but I think it's a good investment in the life of a generator.
