I'll preface this by saying that RAM chips are always hit or miss and it can be very tedious to isolate a blue screen error to a faulty chip. I highly recommend that after installing your RAM, you make a copy of memtest and run it before installing the operating system. If memtest doesn't work, RMA the faulty chip. Upgraded my old Lenovo ThinkCentre M90p, I5-650 which had 4GB RAM. There was some discrepancy on the web and Lenovo's online manual as to whether the maximum amount of RAM required would be 8 or 16g. Took all 4 with no problems. Windows restarted and 16g RAM (15.3 usable) was detected. It seems to help a bit, but I'll be adding a graphics card instead of integrated graphics soon.
