Good value, worked great

Was looking for PC upgrade storage at our church. These multipacks were great as I needed 3 sticks for each of the 2 computers and 6 sticks for the third. The packaging was easy to open and I had space to store my old flash drives. Installation was easy and the computer immediately recognized the new memory configuration. Haven't had any problems since installation. They're down $9 since I bought them, so they're worth a little better now.

  • Handy item

My kit had a bad DIMM

Received my kit quickly. All 4 DIMMs installed and my computer (HP Pavilion Elite HPE-337c) either wouldn't boot or sometimes booted into Windows but then quickly rebooted. After testing in pairs, it turned out that 3 DIMMs were in good condition and the 4th was defective. I wish all four were good and then I'd appreciate the fantastic value for money. I returned the Revain set for a quick refund (thanks Revain!) and then decided to order the Corsair memory, which costs a little more but I knew

All 4 sticks were DOA. Buyer beware

I bought it because I'm an IT company owner who works with small business and home customers because the price was good when I bought it, and then installed and didn't work in the machine . I tried several configurations until I tested each chip individually. A machine was able to boot with a stick of this RAM but got stuck in the mail (working configuration with similar RAM. Nothing but problems with this RAM. Buyers beware.

Worth the price of Memory

I'll preface this by saying that RAM chips are always hit or miss and it can be very tedious to isolate a blue screen error to a faulty chip. I highly recommend that after installing your RAM, you make a copy of memtest and run it before installing the operating system. If memtest doesn't work, RMA the faulty chip. Memtest86+ is my personal favorite, but use any memory tester, just don't use the BIOS run option to test your memory, they're usually useless. The best of these boot from CD and…

Upgraded computers and accessories

Upgraded my old Lenovo ThinkCentre M90p, I5-650 which had 4GB RAM. There was some discrepancy on the web and Lenovo's online manual as to whether the maximum amount of RAM required would be 8 or 16g. Took all 4 with no problems. Windows restarted and 16g RAM (15.3 usable) was detected. It seems to help a bit, but I'll be adding a graphics card instead of integrated graphics soon.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance
