CARD ERROR AFTER ONE USE.

DO NOT BUY THIS CARD. I'm a professional photographer. Shot this card once and it failed. Bad formatting, bad reading. Not recoverable. USELESS. The first time I didn't buy a brand. NEVER AGAIN. Now only Scandisk.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Negative impression

Don't use it for things you care about.

The card bricked up in the middle of the shoot, it can't be read at all in two different card readers on three different computers. Lost footage for a whole day. I bought the card a month ago and it failed 1 day after the Revain return policy expired. I've had two other 1066 x 64GB komputerbay cards like this one that have been fine so far, but I'll probably throw them away and use something else. Not worth the risk.

I was glad that this map from Komputer Bay in .

I think this is the cheapest option I've seen and mine seems to work very well. Despite a lot of mixed reviews I've seen about this card in the past, I decided to take a chance because I needed a second card to record Magic Lantern RAW on my 5dIII - in addition to the original card I bought, a Lexar 1066x. I was happy that this Komputer Bay card is slightly faster than my Lexar card which compared to my Lexar which used to fill its buffer and drop a frame to 10-12 seconds. .

Failed after 2 1/2 years

So it looks like my CF card has failed after about 2 1/2 years of light use. As soon as I put it in my Canon 5D, the camera is lame and doesn't do anything. Tried to format and all to no avail. As soon as I insert another CF or SD card, it works without any problems. Too bad.

many stability issues.

I have a Canon 7D2 but I'm not a professional just a dad to take some photos with my family (100 photos a week) The Komputerbay product has so many stability problems (I have CF and SDXC bought , both have the same problems) Usually I met the error message once a week, you have to remove and reinsert the battery (of course, the last picture I took is lost), the situation is getting worse. I can't even read the file from the memory card, many pictures are broken, sometimes I can read them for…

writes like a BEAST. Other reviews relate (probably) to technical specifications. All I can really say is that it runs on my 7D at 1728W 16:9 Magic Lantern 14-bit RAW for at least 4 minutes. This is the longest continuous RAW video I've ever recorded. Update: I stopped using the card for about 4 weeks then plugged the card back in and took 1 shot. After 3 hours I tried turning the camera back on but the 7D couldn't read the card. The same with a Windows PC. 3 formats from different locations…

The card failed by accident.

Bought 2 of these 4 months ago to use with Magic Lantern on 5d3. Both cards worked great all summer. Super fast. No problem. But recently one failed completely and I lost a few important recordings. The map crash was very strange. One night it worked perfectly. Half an hour later that night it would not mount and could not be formatted on any platform. Camera, Mac, PC didn't read it and it couldn't even be formatted. Shows only as 33MB storage device on Mac/PC? Both Mac and PC do not show other

A Solid Price!: Computers and Accessories

I bought two of these to use in my Canon 1DX camera. This is the third and fourth Komputer Bay CF card I have purchased. I previously bought 32GB cards for my Canon 7D. All Computer Bay cards work great. I'm not a hardware expert so I can't give you reference write speeds compared to other brands but I will say they work very well for my use. The 1DX can capture up to 33 frames of RAW data at 10fps before the camera's buffer fills up while waiting to be written to the CF card. When I reach this

Don't waste money.

I have ordered three of these cards. One of them stopped working after the first use. I received a free replacement from Revain. The maps have been lying unused in my map case for about 5 months and I decided to try them out today. Now another of the original three doesn't work. It's too late to come back so I'm stuck with a dead card that I used twice. These are 2 of 3 cards that have died with very little use. I use a Canon 5D Mark III. I have lost all faith in these cards and will not rely…
