These bowls are really well made. They're light, which is nice when they're filled to the brim with delicious ramen. They are nice and deep and perfect for holding on to while eating. They can be washed in the dishwasher and used in the microwave. After several uses and reheating in the microwave, I didn't notice that the coating was washed off. These are my favorite bowls in the kitchen so far.

These are large, heavy, attractive bowls, each holding exactly 40 ounces of water to the brim. (If you add another ounce of water, it will spill). They hold plenty of food, soup, etc. Due to the size and weight, I would not recommend them for young children or seniors with weak hands. The inside is really red, not orange or maroon. I love these bowls. I love all types of noodles: pho, buns, ramen, lo mein, spaghetti, linguine, bucatini, etc. For a while I was on the hunt for a good noodle bowl, looking at local bed and bath stores, big retail stores, and Asian ones supermarkets.
