Although the pockets are small (as others have said, they also shrink if they get wet!) they fit my 4 fingers perfectly and make a cleaning mitt. I was reading online about Italian towels and how good they are for exfoliating and removing dead skin. It was the recommended brand so I went ahead and ordered it. They arrived pretty quickly. Real towels aren't actually towels, they're more like mittens. You can use them with or without body gel, I have not used shower gel or scrub with them and they have worked well. They are great exfoliators. If you have sensitive skin I wouldn't recommend it because if you're not careful they will scratch

No doubt they work. They work fine. They're small and shrink, but they work if you manage to squeeze your hand into one. My big question is, does dead skin really flake off or is it buildup of product (conditioner, lotion, etc.)? I ask because there are no "rollers" when exfoliating my legs and forearms.
