Excellent stability on steep wet rocks

Item arrived quickly. Have tested the product on jetty stones and found it very effective. A bit awkward, but definitely worth the extra tinkering to gain stability when throwing on big, wet, and slippery rocks. I definitely recommend this product.

Pros
  • Quick release buckle and strap system for easy on and off
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Insert tips fall out!

The first day I put them on I lost four carbide cleats. They have spikes that push in and they obviously fall out very easily. Once removed, the holes will expand and may no longer securely hold the replacement spikes. The Castrax model has screw-in spikes that are less likely to fall out. Also, they seem to be very durable and offer good traction.

Pros
  • Solid carbide cleats through toe, heel and ball of foot
Cons
  • Cons

A rock fishing essential

RockTrax is an essential piece of tackle for pier or river fishing; really anywhere where slippery rocks meet. The lugs have amazing traction and provide reliable grip on seaweed and weed-covered rocks. The new style of nylon webbing straps hold them on the boots/waders much better than the old laces. Corkers make it safer for big fish to go out in rough seas. Size note: They run a bit big. I wear size 10 waders and bought the large ones first - they were too big despite the description saying…

Pros
  • 28 pairs of carbide tipped cleats under toe, heel and ball of foot
Cons
  • Can't remember exactly
