Pleasantly surprised by the noise level and consistency

I used to be the cleanest and only used conical millstones. However, after 3 models that stopped working over time, I was tired of shelling out a few hundred bucks. I stumbled across a review from American's Test Kitchen which found that a good blade grinder had no discernible difference in flavor to a burr grinder. Although they ultimately preferred the ridge, they were shocked that a cheap blade worked so well. That's why I ordered this, much appreciated. Well I'm very pleased that I can get…

Content is poured from bowl into main unit

Purchased as a special seed grinder (with detachable bowl) due to advertised quietness and good experience with other products from this brand. work very well. We wanted a removable bowl for easy cleaning. The bowl is easy to clean and can be submerged and washed in the sink. However, some of the bowl's contents always spill into the main unit, which isn't that easy to clean and can't be submerged in water. We knew from other reviews that coffee grinders with detachable bowls often have this…

  • Excellent workmanship

At first we were excited about this product because it was quiet and easy to clean. Unfortunately, we accidentally knocked the lid off the frame. The lid is heavy and made of hard plastic. So now our lid is in two pieces and we have to decide whether to glue it together, order a spare, or go back to using a $20 shredder with a lighter, stronger lid. Our big mistake was that we thought a more expensive product was stronger than a cheaper one. This is NOT the case at all, the lid of a Whirlpool…

Quiet but. - Kitchen and dining room

This coffee grinder grinds well and is quiet. Grinds beans well. I'm very glad about that. but i found 2 issues that downgrades for me.1. The mill is silent as it has a detachable bowl and double walls. Detaching the cup from the base is sometimes problematic and causes me to drop some bases from time to time. 2. There is a space between the double walls that allows water to enter when you clean the top. It will eventually dry out, but it would be nice if you could separate the inside wall from

Coffee grinder malfunction: kitchen and dining room

I bought a Silent Vortex coffee grinder and it suppresses noise well. However, after the first use, the smell of burnt insulation started to come from below. I used it to grind 3 tablespoons of spices for an Indian recipe. A lid is really a lid within a lid. The outer lid rests on the main body of the grinder while the inner lid rests on the removable stainless steel cup. Unfortunately, there is a gap of about a quarter inch between the two caps that allows liquid to flow through. When washing,
