Exactly what I wanted

I fitted this compact amp to my Ford Explorer 03 in about 30 minutes. It really got my speakers singing. The highs are refined, bright and clear; the middle is amazing and full. I have a 12" subwoofer in the rear in a vented enclosure, so the bass out of my speakers isn't what I want. IF you want or need to upgrade your speakers when space is a concern you simply can't go wrong. That.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions

  • Price

Excellent amplifier for medium and high frequencies

Have installed this amplifier together with Alpine two din. The amp and main unit runs an Infinity Kappa 4 6 1/2" with an additional amp running two 10's. The sound is phenomenal! I'm very happy with the whole setup, especially the mids and highs, very clear and at Need noisy too Installation was easy plug and play Alpine continue to make quality products I have been using Alpine for over thirty years.

Stops working after a year or two.

This is my fourth 445A amp. I bought the first one 5 or 6 years ago and it's still fine and I passed this car on to my dad. I liked it so much I put it in my next car. It lasted almost 3 years before failing. I removed it and now I just run the exit from the deck. I attached the third one to my second car because it fits perfectly. A year later it's dead. I bought another one today to replace it. My thoughts? Doesn't handle vibrations well. This new one I will try to install on a rubber…

Pros
  • Decent performance

A simple upgrade for more power and cleaner sound!

I bought this amp back in February and just got around to hooking it up. I have a 2000 Chevy S10 long cab with 6.5" Alpine Type-R component speakers in the doors and standard 4x6" speakers in the dash. I ran everything on my Alpine CDA-9857 main unit and everything was fine until I added 2 12" subwoofers and a 600w amp. Some music with lots of bass would drown out the rest of the speakers so I decided to give this amp a try. Other reviews were the main reason for the purchase. I am very happy…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Last year the navigator that I installed in 2010 when I bought my Silverado broke. I also replaced the speakers with Infinity. I installed an Alpine ILX-207 to replace a failed navigation box. While the Infinity always sounded great, they lacked something that only an amp could fix. So this year the reversing camera failed and had to be replaced. Since I opened the dashboard to fix this I decided to add this amp. This amp gave the speakers what they lacked, a little more power. Installation was

Perfect fit for my application

I have an '86 Alfa Romeo with a barely working original cassette deck. So I replaced it with a new Alpine head unit with Bluetooth, Alpine speakers etc. I wanted to upgrade but didn't want a loud bang (there's no room for a subwoofer in this car anyway). But after installing everything I was a bit disappointed as the sound quality was mediocre at best to my ears. So I bought this little amp because there's no room in this car for anything big and I wasn't looking for a million watts. I was…

  • Not sure

Great product for those who want to go full speed without tangles

Alpine has a real winner in my opinion. I needed something to boost the performance of the CDE148BT main unit to a four speaker, two tweeter system. However, I didn't want to spend the money or time to install the entire amplifier system in my Tacoma. Let's be honest. It's 2001 and I sit in my truck for about an hour every day. I insist on justifying the money I've spent here on a new head unit and power amp. However, this is perfect for the guy who loves his music and wants to hear quality…

  • Perfect for outdoor activities
