This nutcracker looked beautiful online but once in-hand, it was a total letdown. It arrived with parts broken off and poorly painted details. The packaging did not protect it from damage during shipping. The only positive is that it arrived quickly. Overall, a disappointing purchase for anyone looking to add a festive touch to their Home and Kitchen decor.

I have been looking for an advent calendar that my daughter (she is 2 years old) can help with and also decided that I would like to start collecting nutcrackers for the mantel. So it has fully met all requirements. I bought this alone with 2 others for this brand. It glitters and the colors shine. When the countdown ends, the star at the top spins to reveal another scene and "Merry Christmas." That's a very good piece.

Oh, beautiful, really great workmanship - like all Kurt Adler nutcrackers (this is my second one). I'm so excited that the Christmas countdown starts on December 1st. I only took this one off 1 star because it sheds so much glitter. I would be happy if it would just be varnished. I have another glittery one but the glitter doesn't seem to fall off and fly all over the place like this one. But I never leave him.
