Kurt Adler Plastic Garland YAMW4873 Review

They are great for the "boob" light coverage around the house that I photograph with the plant/basket frame. I think I bought 10 of these and wound them up without worrying about turning them again. You can still see the light a little deeper, but it masks it well. :) Yes, they are plastic. yes they are light But for a project like this, they were great.

This is a shiny and truly engaging tree. However, the wires are very thin and break easily. They also get very tangled up in each other, making them impossible to store. I think they would be good for a season but throwing them in the landfill every year would be awful! Serious. Keep in mind that they're cheap, tangle as soon as they touch, and break into small pieces in a jiffy. This review was written after trying to reuse it in the last 3 years.

PROS: These lights are about the same price as others I've bought before. The wire is slightly heavier than a similar product purchased a year ago. CONS: My rating of Good is because the crystals are more opaque, dull and don't reflect light as well as the ones I already have. .The whole point is to hang these icy garlands on my Christmas tree to compensate for the lack of lighting on my pre-lit tree and add depth, dimension and texture. I bought four of these 15 years ago when I was putting up my first Christmas tree. I still have these four and wanted four more to better match the larger trees. The four new ones I ordered look the same, although the wire is obviously thinner. Well, after the first year one of my new ones broke in half. This year, in their second year of use, all four broke repeatedly. The wire is thin and weak. I still have the original four skeins that I bought years ago, but I threw away three of the four…
