Refuse to remove the stem and fasten the nut

This is a great product, but whoever designed it was missing a screw. My advice is to skip removing the stem and tighten the Loctite nut (blue #242). Otherwise you risk losing your phone.

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Very high quality, looks great. You need a device holder for attachment.

Very high quality attachment point for the phone holder. Note that this isn't really a phone or GPS device, you'll also need to get something like the large Kuryakyn 1694 Tech-Connect device holder that I made. The chrome looks great and doesn't look out of place on my Harley Road King. The device holds tight and does not loosen.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • So far, so good

Tools needed to use

It's as heavy as the others and you need a tool, why can't they make something that will hold the phone without having to pry out a screwdriver? In addition, the holes in this mount and the corresponding phone mount do not match at all, only one option barely fits and forces the phone to be mounted horizontally. If I had seen it live I would not have bought it.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Only available in white

Expensive? Yes. Rock? Yes.

If you want your phone to be completely secure on your motorcycle, this is the way to go. BUT . I don't like the price and the fact that you have to shell out another $50 for their multimedia kit, which is a piece of black plastic that holds your phone. So it's expensive, yes. But it's rock hard. I just wish they had the FULL package - I don't like being a nickel and a dime for the other parts you need to make this work.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Any metal in the cold doesn't get brittle like plastic

Fits my 2003 thick one. Chrome is of good quality. Be careful when opening the packaging as some pucks are wrapped in tissue paper and can be easily disposed of. They should have just put it together for you. The swivel is strong and can be tightened to keep it from moving. I used this in combination with Shark Audio's solid metal 12V jack, Calbec rectangular charging cable, Aukey's flat USB car charger adapter and Bladetec S5 holster for a perfect mount for my Samsung phone.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • repair

I hate giving Kuri a bad review. The quality is excellent. packaging, not so much. The problem is that there are two specifications; 1680, 1681. Although apparently interchangeable, the 1680 has an adjustable thumbscrew on the mounting post. 1681 no. I ordered 1680, received a box of 1680 but NO nut. I have ordered a replacement with the same part number. Received the same unpackaged product. Again. I sent both back for a refund.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • So-so

This item is very nice looking and chrome plated. In order to use this item, you must purchase an optional Kuryakyn cell phone or Go's mount, which is a barbaric, heavy, black, bulky plastic that replaces the entire beautiful chrome mount and mounting plate. Little did I know that to make this work you had to buy additional parts that distracted from my beautiful Chrome front end. Huge price for cell phone or GPS mount. At this price point, the bracket should be included or at least be the same

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Socket required
