This is a very solid device that holds the phone very firmly. It has stops on the bottom to keep your phone from slipping out as well as nice soft rubber grips on the sides. The iPhone 5 Otterbox case did not fit this clip set as hoped. Maybe it would be better without the Otterbox protective case around the iPhone, but for what I need it for I can't easily detach it or protect the iPhone around the case. I can tell you how much I love this phone mount. I use it for Spotify, GPS and my music library. So far I've tried Galaxy s3, s2, Motorola M and Motorola Electrice/Photon. It fits all of these phones. Also with my S2 and extended battery. The S3 was the best and easiest to turn on with the center button on the front (like the home button on the iPhone).
