Poor quality body and frame parts

The hex head screws holding the footpegs level continue to loosen, leaving the footpegs uneven and with rotating play underfoot. I ended up just leaving it loose with a gap for fear of stripping the hex wrench threads and not being able to remove them. Also, the bolt holding the spring clip for rotating the leg extension has loosened and fallen out, preventing one side from opening/pulling out.

Pros
  • Easy installation

Small adjustment required.

Excellent pegs, arrived quickly. I didn't give 5 stars because the spacers are crooked. I had to use spacers on my 2008 Raider but had to flatten them out to make them work. So a star deduction because of the lack of spacer variety. If used for multiple models I would think that some curved and some non-curved would not pose a problem. UPDATE After less than 1000 miles the screw holding the latch to fold and unfold the extension fell out. Use Loctite!

Fine, but mine fell apart after 900 miles.

Bought after riding a friend's bike in it. I put them on and went on a trip. After driving 500 miles I wanted to use them and one of the tabs for unlocking the locking mechanism fell off. Later that day, after driving about 900 miles, I noticed the pivot on the other side had fallen off. I expected better build quality from this company as most of their products you like and are worth the price you pay. Aside from the quality of my special products, they were really good when they were…

Very innovative design.

I bought these for my 2014 Vulcan Custom 900 and they worked really well, but I recently bought a 2002 Yamaha Warrior that does not have an engine guard and I have no way of mounting footpegs on this bike. I ported them to the Warrior and they changed a lot the number of positions I can move into while riding. I took the advice of some other reviewers and added locks to all the screws and had no problem loosening the screws or bolts. All in all, if you don't use road pegs or don't have space…

I was surprised at how strong the construction of these pegs was

I was surprised at how strong the construction of these pegs was. The rubber cushioning is also excellent, it does not slip when attached. When riding with the footrest closed, the footrest almost feels like a running board. Riding with the footrest open is very comfortable, although I will probably only use it on longer rides with the footrest open. I was expecting them to be able to rub the pavement on corners, but I didn't experience it even on a right turn into an alley, although my heel…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Low repairability

Convenient and easy to fit

With the right adapters everything runs smoothly and isolation from road vibrations is much better than standard footpegs. Additionally, the ability to adjust the angle of the platform is great, both for comfort and for creating enough room for the boot's big toe to get under the shifter. My only negative criticisms are: - The chrome doesn't seem to match perfectly and some corrosion was evident upon unboxing (very light pitting). Feet on these trunnion extensions. That said, at 70 mph, the…

GREAT DRIVING POSITION!

I had this 2 months before I decided to read and install Destructions. Make sure you have an adapter for your make and model that fits between the footpegs and your bike. Call Kuryakin to confirm part number. I have a 2012 Yamaha Raider S. The stock footpegs feel and look good, but as soon as I engage 5th gear I feel the need to reposition my legs to rest my inner and upper muscles. On clothespins I turned my boots inside out to create a V pattern. In this position I had almost no contact with…
