🏍️ Kuryakyn 8669 Chrome Vented Fuel Tank/Gas Cap for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles (1996-2019) Review

My 883 Iron had a stupid skullcap that looked ridiculous. This is the perfect replacement and after I installed it the bike looked so much better.

Gas fits perfectly and no problem. I wasn't sure if it was going to be flush mount or something like a standard cap. It looked like a stock cap, not flush.

My Slim came with an improved gas cap. has a key Flashing button. I bought it, installed it damn fast, and the updated one is in the box, in the drawer, waiting for someone else's tank.

Perfect for my 2004 night train. Replaced the old concealed bracket cap with this to avoid having to refuel on the go. Doesn't look as pretty as a flush mount, but I'd trade looks for convenience any day. Great product that does exactly what I need. (Even clicks to prevent over tightening) If you need it, buy it!

Good things! The only reason it didn't get five stars is because it's not as good as the OEM cap I removed, which is stainless steel rather than the mysterious chrome-plated metal. Otherwise it looks visually the same. I bought this to replace my dented cap on a 96 XL1200S. It clicks to stop so you don't overload it or get stuck in the fuel tank.

Almost as good as what they sell at the Harley Davidson store. You can't go wrong. I say so good because I was comparing a brand new to a brand new OEM from my HD dealer that turns a little easier, smoother and maybe a little better made as it looked like the OEM was made in the USA after all been, but not big difference between them. I won't comment on whether the Kuryakyn chrome gas caps were chrome or not, they looked good enough for me and that's a BARGAIN for me. I bought this as a spare…
