Saved my pesky fin from becoming a sure queen

If you have a cool knife but need to use a cumbersome fin to open it, buy and install a thumb stud and it'll do a lot better than you have hoped! Good value for money. Very durable. Fits tight. Added some blue Loctite. Good thickness. Not too bulky. Kershaw and Buck 110 approved. I will buy more.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Expandable

Pretty smooth best in Hunting Knives

I put mine on the Buck 110. I found it awkward to use. I just don't think the Buck 110 was designed to have a thumb stud. But it works. When I'm not using it, I still open it with two hands. But it's nice to know it's there if I really need to open it with one hand. That's easy. Just a simple Allen screw. No Adhesives. There is no need to change the knife in any way. It can be easily removed if you want to remove it.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • modern

. Excellent steel, beautiful blade shape and handle shape. Great knife but love the thumb studs and Spyderco blade with holes. Fins are not very good. The button opens with a snap of the thumb and works like a charm. Saved the knife from the Vault Queen. I have some other knives, I'll put one on myself.

Pros
  • . An absolute legend.
Cons
  • . Hard to say.

I bought this for my Buck 110. After several attempts to position it correctly along the blade shaft, I found a sweet spot for me. Note: The buck is designed to be opened with two hands. Quite a strong click, and it takes a little force to open. It is not surprising that the knife will never be "pinball". BUT, it will definitely allow me to open the knife with one hand when I get into a situation where it's needed. The hairpin does not interfere with insertion and removal from the sheath.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Slightly torn

NOT for smaller knives

I bought this for a custom Buck Squire but as it hasn't shipped for some time I tried it on my Opinel. Unfortunately the screw has gone too far and is now clogged and unusable. I've tried maneuvering to try and get it back out but that doesn't seem possible so I'm now out of money I spent and I'll probably have to throw it in the bin as it won't fall apart seems have the screw removed if this happens. Although I will eventually need a thumb stud I will not be ordering from this company again…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Doubtful

Wow that was easy!

Do you know how often you buy a product that looks easy to install but turns out to be a bear? Not this one! I wanted to put a thumb stud on my Ka-bar Buck 110 clone so I ordered this one. Delivered lightning fast in the mail, I opened the envelope, saw it contained an Allen key, shook out the envelope's contents and the installation was complete in 15 seconds. I had to adjust the location to suit my preferences, but the entire setup took less than a minute. It works great and I think it looks…

Fits Buck 110 but not for me

It gets 5 stars because it does exactly what it was designed to do, easy on and off and protrudes enough to give a good result when opened achieve The Blade. Separately I returned mine because I didn't like it on my Buck 110 and I know a lot of people take care to put the 110 on and here's why: after trying a few positions for it on the blade found I did this in the places where it looked most natural, there wasn't much leverage, and where it offered good leverage, it was just an eyesore…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Communication with seller
