Great part so far. Not really.

Rav4 2003 first review. Excellent quality. Easy installation. OEM in appearance. So far no problems. The Check Engine light went off and did not go off after the reset time interval. One minor gripe - silver anti-seez, not Cooper. the positive comment already applies. Great hit for the price. To update. 12.07:. upset. Check if the engine light comes on again after a week. 2 codes dropped. P0171 and P1133. Replaced OEM Denzo AF sensor. The Check Engine light went out after several drive cycles…

Pros
  • Direct replacement.
Cons
  • Some defects

Most expensive cheap part I've ever bought

There are 16 reviews as of this writing, most of them 5 stars. At first I thought it would fail quickly, but now I don't understand how it ever worked. I finally took it in for repair and the mechanic showed me the resistance was way off. I wish I could order it from my local parts store for $125. Instead of paying $125, I got a $300+ repair from my mechanic who only installs genuine hardware parts. What's more, I wasted $45 on it. I missed the return window. Lesson learned.

Pros
  • Length (sensor to cable): 391mm (15.39")
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

For 2003 Rav4: Sensors

I've never heard of these A/F sensors so I decided to give it a try. They are mostly less than $50 versus $130. It's cheap for an upstream air-fuel ratio sensor. This item was for a 2003 Toyota Rav4, Left (Driver Side) Top AF Sensor. They appear to be well made. The length of the cable is correct, as is the end of the socket. All cables are color coded like the original cables. They had a protected plastic sleeve on the threaded end and silver anti-seize material on the threads. I removed this…

Pros
  • 4 wire configuration

  • Negative impression
