When I ordered this product I initially fell in love with a giant globe. However, my licensed electrician pointed out that the screws attaching the unit to the wall were TOO SHORT! He has to buy longer screws to keep the lamp from falling off the wall onto my head! Another problem is that there is NO wire here! He must buy a wire to connect this! Buying electronic parts costs me too much for this lamp!

Was looking for a wall light for our repair. I wanted black with glass and all I liked was well over $150 and since I needed 8 pieces it was out of budget. I bought them because of the price but would really buy them even if they were duplicates. I will say that they are not that strong. I bought 2 of these lights in the same order for my home office. They were similar but not the same. The colors weren't the same - one was an orange brass with a matte (matte) finish, and the other was a more intense gold with a sheen. I bought them used/new at first so they were heavily discounted and probably repackaged. They look great in my space! I am very happy with my purchase, I might not have liked the quality if I had paid full price. The globe is really heavy in the hands and is only held in the wall with 2 small screws (I ended up using my own wall plugs and drywall screws as the ones provided were too fancy). They hardly describe the assembly and what they describe is not entirely accurate so I think this can lead to error, frustration and risk of breaking the lampshade.
