Sounds great, fairly reliable

I've had them for a while and just recently switched to the KZ KSN range. I had to super tape them a few times when the case fell apart, but they still work great. I sleep with them in my ears and am not very gentle with them, so the fact that they still work is a testament to their design. You sound really good. Not sure if ZSN KZ is better, maybe just different.

You can't go wrong with the price. They definitely look like high-end IEMs, but I feel like the bass is a bit lacking, although most people will find them adequate. One problem is the packaging. I use them on the back because they fit and look better. I also replaced the ear tips with foam as the supplied rubber tips weren't as comfortable and didn't offer the best noise isolation. Overall I'm satisfied, although not as good as my previous IEMs, the Allen & Heath XD-20s, which I paid under $25…

The sound is exceptional for the price

The sound is fantastic and the isolation is incredible for the price. I'm a professional drummer and bought them mainly for practice. Due to the external noise blocking, the volume can be very low and I can still hear what I need without hurting my ears. I replaced the part that goes in the ears with the layered silicone I had from another kit. They penetrate deep into the ear canal and require very little volume to reach the eardrum. I also use them during workouts so I don't get distracted by

Looks like $40 headphones.

Considering the $14 price tag, I was surprised by the build and sound quality of these headphones. I've used many different brands of headphones and this one is by far the best in the $10-$40 price range. Application: They sit very well in the ears. The wire goes through the ear. You can't wear them any other way, but once you get into the habit of putting them on, it's pretty easy. Wrapping the wire around the ear is very convenient, the headphones will not fall out. The wire is stiff and…

Phenomenal IEMs are good for in-ear headphones

Damn, is that a $15 IEM? It's amazing how phenomenal they sound. Firstly, I have several headphones (MDR-V700DJ, ATH-M50, HD558, HD598, DT990) but this is my first time trying IEM. My only other in-ear headphones are Nuforce NE-600x and Apple Earpods, both decent but not comfortable. I bought the KZ ATE to replace my portable ATH-M50 which broke after 5 years and everything else I had wasn't great for travel and open ended headphones weren't ideal for an office environment. Sonically, they are…

Audiophile quality at a low price

Amazing sound quality for the price. I was skeptical at first, but for audiophiles this is great value for money. Please note that in order to get the best possible performance, the user must ensure that it fits in the ears properly and uses the rubber ear mold which is the best at isolating noise and blocking outside noise. The medium-sized earbuds attached to the earcups were too small for my ears, resulting in a bit of a thin sound. Using larger pieces of rubber allowed for a better fit and…

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Big and chunky

So-so, but to be honest it's bulky and does NOT offer great isolation from background noise, the main reason for buying it as the sound really isn't that good. This is NOT an IEM, an in-ear headphone that's real as soon as you put it in your ear canal, hence the NAME! No, they're just cheap, pretty big for a professional musician's POSITION or whatever, except the sound is mediocre at best. I have $8 which is above isolation aspect and at least equal in sound quality. I have REAL IEMs, actually

Upgrade - Great for band monitoring

Updated Review 7/29 I decided to give these headphones another try and used them for radio listening (NPR) and found that they last longer. were uncomfortable, so I tried another tip. When I got a more comfortable tip, I brought the bass back. I was so impressed I tried them with a strap, they performed much better and almost on par with my M6 PRO, they have more bass but the highs aren't as bright but still perfect for monitoring. I just used the wrong earplug. The point is. Find a tip that…

good value; good sound

From time to time I buy some inexpensive headphones to replace lost or worn out ones. I use headphones with my phone, mp3 player and laptop. For the last year and a half I prefer balanced armature headphones based on solid advice from a friend. He noted that BA headphones tend to fall somewhere between inexpensive single-speaker headphones and more expensive multi-speaker headphones. I found that the BA headphones were generally better balanced (deep bass with no unnatural accent, extended…
