If you're expecting what's in the picture, an old pack, an old and much better brush, and a tube size that doesn't hold much air, you'll be disappointed. I was thrilled to see the old style bottle and applicator and ordered these rather than just going to a pharmacy in town. Having used the new model, I think the formula is very similar, maybe a little stickier. But the brush is bigger which I don't like when trying to get small lashes.

It's not easy to find cosmetics (or similar) from companies that don't test on animals or use animal products. And when you do, the prices of goods are usually grossly inflated. So I was happy to hear about ELF's commitment to cruelty-free practices, although I didn't think the mascara I ordered from them would be very good given the cheap prices of their products. Wow! For the price I'm more than thrilled! Lies down smoothly, very saturated black color! Lasts for hours and without streaks! I wish the applicator was a little thinner, but don't get me wrong, it's not thick at all, I personally prefer just a very thin line. Highly recommended, don't waste your money on more expensive brands!

Very sad to have to write this review as I *usually* love all eleven products. Because of this, I had high hopes for it, but what I got was much worse. The mascara was so sticky and sticky it didn't even show up on my lashes, it literally stuck to the wand in clumps. I spun it around in the bottle to fix it, but at first it seemed like there was practically no product in it :/ I'm not sure if mine was defective or not, but I'm really disappointed.
