I bought this case to store Superdrive for my Macbook Pro. The drive is aluminum and I was very concerned about what a little speck might do to its exquisite edges. This case holds it and the bumps make my drive more secure than other cases (works like a waffle weave to provide more cushioning). The Super Drive has a hard and non-removable cable, and I was concerned that folding it tightly might damage it. ; In this case, there is enough space so that the cable does not press against the drive.

I recently bought a portable CD/DVD drive for my new desktop system that didn't have room for an optical drive. I figured I'd need some sort of case/bag/cover for the device as well to reduce potential damage. I picked this up in part for the color accent so I could spot the disc cluttered on my desk. The outside pocket can also be closed with a zipper, so that you don't lose any additional cables or small items stored inside. Overall, I'm glad I spent a few bucks for some peace of mind.

Dimensions do not include smaller radius corners. I bought this for the Kobo Forma and while I can push it in, it's too small and the corners of the device get pressed against the zipper at the corners. You should have measured the inside dimension as the smallest rectangle that fits in the corners of the radius, not from the center of the sides. The measurement they gave is actually larger than Kobo's shape, so I figured it would fit.

This is a good case that should offer enough protection from bumps and minor drops for pretty much anything that fits inside. The case contains my 5-1/2 x 5-5/8 x 3/4 inch CD/DVD player with extra space. I am more or less satisfied with my purchase; However, the pouch has an unpleasant odor and I don't like the zipper on the outer half bag/pocket, which I feel reduces its usefulness for anything other than holding a string. I have a Goal Zero Sherpa 100AC and I have a separate Goal Zero case for it, but I was looking for something that would go with the Sherpa 50 fits an AC inverter connected. I couldn't find anything from Goal Zero for this device (which they have discontinued) other than the neoprene sleeves that were on the earlier Sherpa 50. I reserve one last star for now because I'm skeptical whether a neoprene cover with waffle foam inside can protect my drive (LG GP65NG60 CD-ROM). There is more than enough space for this, which worries me a bit since the drive is quite light.
