Lamp J Type Halogen Socket Review

The product I received was exactly as advertised in the picture and in perfect condition. In fact, it was an exact replica of my ceiling lamp. Obviously these sockets are not designed to last forever (maybe 10 years). Well worth buying and replacing this $11 part. The alternative is to buy another replacement device for $250.

The product described and illustrated online does not match what I received when I ordered it 3 times. Look at the picture above and compare it to the picture on the internet. After receiving the wrong item the second time, I called. The Revain representative apologized and promised that if I order again she will make sure I get the correct product. But the third time I got the same thing: just the cord from the lamp.

BUYER ATTENTION! I ordered this B&P J type halogen bulb holder to replace one in a bulb that had failed after 30 years of good use. The socket looked identical to the native German one in my lamp and I was happy to find a replica. Aside from the visual aspects, I found that when it arrived the comparisons stopped there.
