Amazing LNA: Receiver and amplifier

This LNA is cool, with offset performance my RTLSDR picks up a lot more signals than usual. With 9:1 unun and 60 feet of cable I can hear up to about 10kHz.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Legacy model

Works as it should. Corps would be nice.

Watch the attached video for Bias-T in action with the YouLoop + SDRPlay RSPdx antenna using the SDR console. Without current, it naturally acts as an attenuator. I wish he had a body.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Died within a week! for receiver and amplifier

Used with RTL-SDR, with bias T and worked perfectly in the HF range, good gain increase, then a week later. Bias (and gain) LED on, tried USB power with same results, LED on. But very weak. So disappointed, it only lasted a week by the way, it was dry with no moisture.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Repair

Quiet and very useful in conjunction with YouLoop

Like the other reviewer, I use this with YouLoop and RSPdx. This is a very low noise RF LNA that performs well. However, I am deducting a star because I have a low frequency rolloff of around 800kHz, not 50kHz. Frustrating as I spend a lot of time with LW and MW DX's but I have proper antennas anyway and was hoping to get something easily portable with acceptable performance. The SW gain appears to be fairly linear up to about 20MHz.

Pros
  • Many fit
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Makes YouLoop work like an antenna :-)

I had to buy YouLoop to test it and while it works it's definitely not an everyday driver. This little booster gives it a new way to take its place on the wall. I intend to keep them together as a whole because they need each other. I rarely get both sides of a conversation on YouLoop, but I do now. Yes, the amplifier is only marginally cheaper than the antenna, but it's worth every penny. That's right, I don't use it with my SDRPlay RSP1A and it has a built in offset function. I also like the…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Easily repairable
