It was good at first, but then it got louder than my 3D printer

This fan was nice and small and it matched my Raspberry Pi 3B really well. It worked fine for about 1.5 weeks, after which one of the fans started making loud noises. It was intermittent at first, I could tap it lightly and it stopped. But now it's noisy all the time, in fact it's much louder than the fans in my 3D printer. It's pretty loud and annoying. Unfortunately I don't have a return window so I just had to take it off my Pi and call it a loss.

Pros
  • Big selection
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Easy installation, no instructions

Installation was easy enough but there was no clear instruction. I had to guess how to position it based on the photos. However, the fan is built in, quiet and works as intended. My Pi no longer complains about overheating!

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • Nothing here

Works great on Raspberry Pi 4 with some mods

I would give this little heatsink 5 stars but the included thermal tape doesn't transfer heat very well. I understand that this product is intended to be used on the Pi 3b+, but it should still cool the 4 effectively when connected directly to the CPU with thermal tape. The method I used to get the best performance from this kit on the Pi 4 was to attach a small copper heatsink to the RAM chip that sits on top of the Pi. Then I cut two squares of thermal tape and taped them over the copper…

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Trade in

Makes a lot of noise

After 3 weeks of sporadic use, one of the fans sounds like the hub is completely punctured. Not a reliable product in my opinion.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Useless features

I am planning an alternative mounting option

The hot-melt tape included in the kit does not stick very well. Plan for an alternative, otherwise the heatsink is good, otherwise it goes well with the Pi3b+.

Pros
  • good so
Cons
  • so-so

Garbage Computers and accessories

garbage. The radiator band is not glued. 1 fan is SUPER loud. Don't waste money. I ended up having to pay extra to get glue to mount it on the RPI and then when I turn it on it's awfully loud! And now it depends on my RPI. I ended up removing one of the fans because it was so noisy! Save and buy something better!

Pros
  • A large selection of
Cons
  • silence

Good fan CPU fan

Nice little fan for a Raspberry Pi that I overclocked. The only complaint is that it gets a bit noisy at times and I wish it came with thin thermal tape

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Security
