To date I have bought three of these devices and they all read, write and transfer data without problems. I prefer the shorter cable as I use it with my 3D printer to convert from MicroSD to SD card. The SD card slot has a fully functional spring mechanism. The only downside to these cables is that they can be easily pulled out of the microSD slot. You must also be careful not to pinch, scratch, or kink the ribbon cable as it is very thin and not well protected.

The end of the micro SD cable does not stay connected to the micro SD slot that uses a latch (push to remove). I suspect the reason is the shape of the neckline. The image compares the cable to a standard micro SD card, which has a clearer cutout. Will probably work for a compression vessel. If you try to insert it into the locking fitting, the fitting will immediately push it out. Not sure why they couldn't just do a standard side cut then I think it will work in all vessels.

There have been comments that this machine does not work with their printer. I have an Ender 5 Pro with a 4.2.7 controller board and the device pops into the micro SD slot and stays connected. It can be read on the control board and I was able to print something with this setting. I plan to go through the printables on Thingiverse.com and print out the extension holder. Works great if you don't like Micro SD cards. Micro SD cards are great for the things you keep them in most of the time. However, if you need to remove them frequently, they are difficult to manage as they are difficult to handle and easily lost. In my case, I have a 3D printer that only has a micro SD card slot. I have a car dvr which is attached to my rearview mirror and the tf card is inserted into the top of the unit and I always have to pull the rearview mirror down. Insert and remove card. This device allows me to remove and replace the card as needed without changing the position of the rearview mirror. I have to say I have used several of these adapters and generally they do their job well and I am happy with the functionality. BUT the problem with this is that the end of the microSD adapter is NOT beveled on the front edge, which can damage some microSD card slots. Look at any high quality microSD card and you will see that the leading edge (contact side) has a 45 degree bevel, which was not the case at the time of writing this review.
