I had to use it with a Raspberry Pi 3B project which has a 7 inch touch screen and case. The case covers the SD card slot and needs to be removed to remove the SD card. I had to cut off the side of the case to fit the extension. Now the card can be removed without removing the case.

You might think that a simple power strip should work in all situations. Not so. I flashed PiCorePlayer and it didn't even boot on RaspberryPi4 with this extender. Had a similar issue with a Raspian microSD card. Strangely, a few other cards had no problems. The card body also lacks any kind of feedback when the card is inserted, for example with a slight click or even with a spring clip.

Bought to use with my Ender 3D printer. Perfect length for what I need and does the job. The SD card "snaps" into place with a spring mechanism. It would have been nice if a small adhesive strip was included so you could attach it, but that's my only gripe.

This short extension cable works great when left alone, but I've had trouble with it popping out of the microSD card slot a few times. When cards are inserted directly into the slot, they never come loose or dangle. When this cable is plugged in I have to make sure not to push it or I'll lose the connection. It's not a big deal either, but it comes in a plain white box as shown in my photo and not in retail packaging as the seller shows.

I bought this extension for my 3D printer port. I didn't want the pins on the printer to wear out from the constant insertion and removal of SD cards.1. They may work on some devices and for the price I think it's worth a try. But they don't work in the devices I've tried them in. The micro card requires what I call a "click". Here, push the card inward to pop it out. This element moves a capture action from the device to a remote location (this element's input slot). My devices do not recognize this deleted snapshot. Uses a very poor quality outlet in a case that is not very well designed. The combination of the slot with the socket is not very successful, and the card naturally wants to slide and not into the socket. You need to insert the card at an angle so that it fits into the slot instead of falling into the case.
