👎 LANMU Weatherproof Outdoor Power Adapter for Arlo Security Camera VMC3030 (26ft/8m) - Incompatible with Arlo Pro/Pro 2/Ultra/Pro 3 Review

We have 5 Arlo security cameras and we had so many batteries it was getting very expensive. Batteries don't last long either. I'm so glad we found this. I've been using these for over a month and they are wonderful. Can not complain. Easy to connect and works great.

The Arlo Pro 2 camera runs on it but doesn't charge batteries - even with the Arlo power adapter and just this cable. However, the message "incompatible power supply unit" often appears in the arlo app and the camera no longer works. Unplugging/replugging the device does not turn it back on. You just have to wait a little bit until it finally reappears.

This product works great and saves me a ton of money on batteries every few months. I actually only turn it on when accessing it from my computer because I don't want to drain my batteries. All my cameras are outside the home, they are weatherproof and very easy to install. I installed (4) of these in under 30 minutes. And now that they're plugged in and powered, I feel more secure knowing my cameras are monitoring my home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no risk of battery drain. I love…

Simplicity and user-friendliness. The instructions weren't very good. You need to tear off a small rubber plug inside the battery compartment. Watch the video and don't try to unscrew and disassemble the camera like I did. It's essentially a long USB cable that's very thin at the end of the camera. Why haven't I found this in a long time. I went down the route of replacing expensive batteries, then bought a charger and batteries that didn't seem to want to charge anymore. I'm so glad I found it. Batteries no longer need to be changed! These batteries work great but they are so expensive and I finally decided it was time to upgrade all my cameras to replaceable ones. Really great idea. I bought it along with the Frienda adapter for Arlo HD. Lanmu's how-to videos are great. No problem with that. However, the very thin Lanmu cable that fits into the Arlo port is about 1 inch long (compared to the slim Frienda adapter which is about 6 inches long). Once Lanmu is connected, you don't have many options to move or adjust the camera. The Lanmu connector that plugs into the end of the camera is very thin and fragile. I bought the 26 inch version. I liked it and bought two more for other cameras. In this version, ditch the batteries, remove the little rubber cover from the camera, plug in the cable and Shazam, and you've got a working Arlo without changing batteries.
