Description of Lasko 101 Personal Heater White

Plastic. Imported. KEEPS YOU WARM AT WORK – At 200-Watts and 682 BTUs, this low wattage mini space heater is ideal for use under the desk to keep your feet and legs warm. Best of all, because it’s low wattage, it won’t keep tripping the office circuit breaker every time you turn it on. YOUR PERSONAL SPACE HEATER – At 6 inches tall with a 4” x 4” footprint, this cute, small electric heater takes up minimal desktop space and is intended to heat up your immediate space at home or the office. Designed to warm you, not a room. For that, we recommend getting a Lasko 1500-Watt tower heater. EASY TO USE – No assembly required. Simply take it out of the box and plug it in to a standard 120v wall outlet. This energy-efficient, indoor ceramic heater draws about 2 amps and turns on with a flip of a switch. Compact and portable, MyHeat comes with a 6-foot cord and a 2-pronged plug. It’s also easily stored when not in use. YEAR ROUND USE – Tired of always being cold at work in the winter? Is your cube right under the AC vent in the summer? If this sounds familiar, then this little heater is just what you need to keep you comfortable year-round. Produces a quiet, white noise that won’t disrupt your co-workers. MyHeat is available in 4 fun colors (black, white, blue, and purple) and makes for a great gift. TRUSTED FOR GENERATIONS – Lasko has been making quality products for over 100 years. MyHeat is ETL Listed and comes with Automatic Overheat Protection. The on/off switch lights up to let you know the unit is on. The self-regulating, safe ceramic heating element keeps the exterior cool to the touch – taking the worry out of using the heater for long periods of time. Material Type: Multi.

Accidentally left on for 84 hours

Just ordered this to warm my toes in my cold office and it worked great. But it has earned me a lifetime of gratitude that I didn't burn everything down after forgetting it was Thursday night. I found it unusually warm in my office on Monday, and here it's humming happily under my desk. your dream. Five stars.

Perfect for university!

I bought this because it's very cold in the campus library, but there are outlets in the cubicles. I wanted something small enough to fit in my drawstring bag and still have room for my iPad, chargers and snacks! It fits perfectly under a table or on top without taking up much space. It's about the size of half a loaf. I love that it turns itself off if you accidentally knock it over and that it really fits in any backpack (even some purses)! It's also such a sleek and cute design with a…

The perfect office heater!

This little space heater is perfect when you need a little extra warmth on your desk. It's virtually silent, which is a big plus for concealing heaters, which is against company policy. As long as you keep it within a few feet, you'll get enough warmth to endure the chill of a cold office. It won't heat up your entire cube or office, so you won't hear any complaints from those weirdos who are hot all the time. So what? Who would ever want to share their precious warmth with these jerks? Because

Small but mighty for electric heaters

This personal heater is for you if you literally just want to heat your personal space, which is exactly what I wanted. The air conditioning in my office is too strong, but I seem to be the only one who has to wear a jacket inside. Holding it sideways and leaning on a wire to keep it from blowing in my face, I focus on my fingers on the keyboard. This heater keeps me so warm I don't even need to wear a sweater anymore, even over sleeveless tops! Revane asked me to rate the security and…

Does the job/be careful

Ideal to place very, very close to the body to warm that particular spot. I can't sleep when my nose is cold so I blow it on my face. I'll be buying this heater again even though it just broke so you get an idea it's pretty decent. In fact, I'm glad it broke because otherwise I might have burned out. It won't shut off if knocked over, so it's perfectly fine to use it on a table while you're alert, but you could potentially get into trouble if it falls over near a flammable object. However, it…

This PERSONAL heater will work great for years to come.

I see a lot of whining about this heater not heating the entire room/toilet/bathroom. You see it's 200 watts right? This is not a ROOM heater, it is a PERSONAL heater. The top rated SPACE heater on Revain (Lasko tower) runs at 1500 watts. That is more than 85% less power consumption. I've been using this particular model in my office for 4 years for 6-8 hours a day every workday (I'm a cold person - sue me). No problem turning off switches (and we all use heaters). This should be next to you or

Pros
  • Something to it
Cons
  • Minor issues

This is my second Lasko heater and it will be my last. The first was a "tower" type oscillating heater. When it seemed to be losing heat output after just a few months of use, I took a closer look and found that its dense heating element was more than half clogged with dust, lint, and cat hair, not only halving its efficiency but making it one Fire hazard (part of the stack is burned). An attempt to blow out the blockage with compressed air was unsuccessful. And disassembling the heater to…
