Reliable and Quiet Best in Computer Accessories & Peripherals

This unit was exactly what I was looking for for my home office. It's small but powerful, and I love being able to plug it directly into my computer. Good product.

Discreet, very simple small travel fan.

This small, very simple and light fan is ideal for travel or use with a laptop. The power cord could be longer, it's a bit short for a fan. It claims 360 degree rotation, I would say it's closer to 200 degree rotation, which is quite misleading. Lasko claims it's quiet but twice as loud as the old fan it's replacing, despite being a third smaller and twice the price. The best thing about this fan is that it can be powered by a portable charger or my laptop.

Too loud for too little effect.

I don't like this fan. I have several standalone USB fans, one (Honeywell branded device linked below) for personal office cooling and others for electronics. In comparison, this Lasko model has a significantly louder and more intrusive hum and moves less air. Any efficient fan—one that moves a volume of air—makes some kind of noise; it's just basic acoustics. Not Quiet Office

I bought my wife a fan for her desk in case she needs extra cooling. The fan cools well when needed, but is not as "quiet" as one would hope. Since her office is usually quiet, this fan can be heard from several cubicles below. Of course, people might be wondering what that buzz is, but if you walk past you'll notice it right away. The weight of the fan is decent, but for her, she doesn't expect it to move that much. I think the weight helps minimize vibration and you can always use a mouse pad
