I may have received a lemon but I am returning the belt and trying a different brand. On my first attempt to put the strap on, the threads at the end of the plastic disengaged the ratchet points. That doesn't sound too bad now that it's down and out of sight. However, this small thread is enough to hook the metal part of the ratchet, meaning the strap will not come loose from the ratchet (like a boa constrictor). to take it off. God help you if it was tight when all this was happening!

Edited: Bought in June, lasted three months before metal part broke, hoping for the best. After I posted this they sent me a new belt no question, my husband loves how it works and was upset when it broke but I don't know how long the next one will hopefully last a little longer: edited again. broke it again now december. This rear pin breaks after so much use it's a real shame if it lasts longer. However, they replaced the last one, hopefully they will replace this one. Update: Broke again…
