Great belt except for one problem. A couple small screws on the buckle fall out after a few years rendering the belt unusable. I wished it had worked as I like the belt design.

This was my second ratchetting belt in the last four years. The first one was from a different company and lasted two years before the buckle became scratched and the "leather" split. . This one only lasted a year which surprised me because I went out of my way to always hang it carefully. Too bad the buckles aren't more durable. The belts themselves are wonderful.

Buckle & rachet are great but material used that is locked into buckle with spikes, is weak. I don't wear belt tight but about once a week the spikes tear through the material & the belt comes out of the buckle. Must cut off 3/8 inch of belt to give spikes something to bite into. Has happened at the worst times, like in airport without wsy to cut the fake leather. Had to keep pants pulled up by hand & carrying luggage around terminal is fun.

These belts look good, are comfortable, and seem to hold up well to normal wear and tear. The only downside is the release for the gripping mechanism: It hangs down from the buckle, which sometimes causes it to release "spontaneously". On the other hand, it also tends to be hard to find when I WANT to release the buckle, and sometimes is hard to release when I do find it. So far, I like the belt and the looks of the buckle.I don't like the engineering on the clasp that holds the buckle to the belt. Installation image shows prying the clasp open with a flat blade screw driver to insert the belt then closing. Wiggling to help secure the belt tight. This is one of those things that you don’t realize how awesome it is until you have one.First but not most importantly, it has a cut to fit design. The belt is much better than original belt styles, but the life isn’t much longer. I e had mine a little over a year now and the buckle side just falls off constantly now as it can no longer maintain a grip on the leather. In addition I have had to reinsert a couple of the pins that have fallen out. The pins hold the buckle parts together so had I lost one when they’ve fallen out I would not have been able to repair it.Not terrible but definitely doesn’t last.

The recommended length of waist size + 9in. was a little bit too big, so had to trim more off. It seems to work well, and good quality for the money.
