I wasn't expecting much from a cheap leather strap but this strap sucks badly. The material is more reminiscent of thick vinyl than leather. The buckle side of the strap is comically short. I have a 6.5" wrist and had to use the last hole. This also results in the buckle being on the side of my wrist rather than centered underneath. After spending $4,000 on a watch I wanted to get some nice bracelets to go with it, but I didn't want to rob the bank. That's great. I bought the 18mm dark gray straps to replace the original black canvas straps on my SNK809 Seiko 5 and am very happy with them so far. The quality of the leather is good, the hardware feels solid and well polished. I also think braided accents add a touch of style to the look. Ordered brown oil wax. In my opinion this is a very effective and beautiful strap - so good that I'll be ordering a replacement soon in case it wears out in the future and I can't find it on sale anymore. This retro style might be more masculine, but I think it also looks good with elegant watches. They are nicely packaged in a nice box with four pins and quality tools that make changing the strap relatively easy. [However I had to remove the bent pins from my old watch due to their tight fit.]

This great value watch band is well made and attractive. The ventilation openings give it a sporty racing look. They also allow the strap to breathe, resulting in a much lighter and cooler feel than some leather straps in hot weather.
