I used this kit to replace the snaps on my daughter's Kate Spade handbag after numerous shoe and leather repair shops refused. It was surprisingly very easy. The original buttons were only attached to the cardboard and one side of the lining. Both broke after just a few weeks of use. So I cut holes through both sides and rivet brass buttons on the outside to black buttons on the inside. The results were very professional and much stronger than the original.

The quality is normal. They can easily get crooked during installation and then I had to remove them with pliers. A box is not the best way to organize parts as they are mixed up in small compartments and it is difficult to find the right parts. So I took them out last night, sorted them by part and color, then found there were 44 bronze studs, posts and sockets but only 22 caps. Instead, there are 44 caps and 22 other black pieces. I'm not very happy with that. I don't want to install…

Requires a buckle for the leather element that secures the shoulder straps to the gym bag for airplane check-in. What I received was a hot mess of odds and ends in a box. I can't tell you how many sets. I had to dig for details, and then my fat fingers would knock them out and scatter them on the floor. I tried to use it and just couldn't. In order to prevent destruction, better reconnaissance is required. I destroyed many trying to make it work and gave up. They would not mate properly…
