Leather Honing Polishing Original Sander Review

It probably works great if used properly. I put it on the Work Sharp, a blade sharpener, and didn't think about it. I had to remove the blade guide and just use the downstroke side. However, I also used the spread side and quickly made thin latigo strips out of it. Damn. I've been wanting to get another one so I can use it properly, but haven't had the time yet. I used an old straight razor I found at a thrift store.

I initially received the wrong size strap but instead of sending it back I emailed the instructions, Rob (owner) replied within hours and quickly sent the strap in to me the right size. this thing is absolutely amazing. The belt itself is well made. Runs smoothly, no "dump" seam. Looks strong (I did not long ago). The composition I received was a bit difficult to apply. Just too crumbly and more of it broke and crumbled into dust/crumbs when it first made it onto the belt. The trick I found was to put just a drop of regular vegetable oil on a sanding block (obviously wax/oil based). This softened the surface just enough for the belt to pick up a bit and guide to the surface…
