Picture does not match belt. I can't confirm the lifespan of the straps, but they're a wonderful talking point. I got more than my money's worth. Now my nephews of different ages are asking me to get belts for them.

In my opinion unbeatable for the price and they look great too. The lock still works perfectly after almost two years. The belt cover still looks like new. They are very easy to wear and you don't even realize they are ratchet straps. I would recommend them to everyone!

Just trim off the excess, for my 38" waist I snip off an inch or two and there's still a buckle tail. My old buckled belt could come loose if my big belly pushed it the wrong way. It has a lever to release, simple but safer.

I don't know how long they will last but I love them now. I am a human with all my heart and no butt. My pants keep falling off. Belts either tight or loose with their 1" adjustment. These buckles have an adjustment of approximately 1/8" allowing the belt to fit your waist perfectly!

Measured very carefully for cutting by positioning the buckle on the belt and then applying it to determine where to cut. Used a razor with a new blade [was afraid to use scissors on skin that thick] to trim off the excess. The leather feels high quality, the buckle is strong and attractive, and I love that it can be adjusted in tiny increments for a perfect fit.
