Measured very carefully for cutting by positioning the buckle on the belt and then applying it to determine where to cut. Used a razor with a new blade [was afraid to use scissors on skin that thick] to trim off the excess. The leather feels high quality, the buckle is strong and attractive, and I love that it can be adjusted in tiny increments for a perfect fit.
