🔍 Susan Bates Hoop-La Embroidery Hoop Review: 5-Inch Craft Hoop Explained Review

I prefer a wooden hoop, it's easier to handle and much gentler on the fabric, but still stays tight. It still serves its purpose, but the plastic doesn't bond to the fabric like a wooden hoop.

The Bates hoop is my favorite embroidery and cross stitch hoop. This 6 inch hoop fits comfortably in my hands and keeps the fabric secure while I work. The clamping screw turns easily. I received the blue tire and am very happy with the value of this purchase.

I bought it to try to embroider so I can't say exactly how the frame differs from the frames of other brands but it seems to me that they work. If you are picky about the color of the tire all I can say is that the tire in the picture is yellow and I have purple. So if this is a frame for an artwork, look elsewhere. Overall I'm pretty happy with the product.

I use these to hold washi tape. Therefore I cannot judge the intended use. But I ordered this one online because I wanted yellow. i have orange Seller may want to add "color may vary" to the listing for any other weirdos like me who have a color preference. But the price was good. The delivery is a little slow. And color aside, I'm glad I have it!

The hanger itself was fine but I found the picture and product information to be misleading. The 5 tires are shown in different colors. This is only for a tire with no color to choose from. I ordered these for a kids party assuming I have enough for 5 girls. This caused a big problem and I had to climb. Very disappointed. The display should come up again and say "single" ring.

Like everyone else I thought it was a set without a single touch of the hoop. And for me to return it will cost more than what I paid for the item. I paid $5.79. Sadly, the collet nut was missing! Who took all the nuts? This isn't the first review to mention missing nuts, but there were more recent reviews that didn't say they were missing, so I figured the issue was fixed. Someone's tampering with quality control! Does the description say again that the tire comes with a nut?! Great hoop but I have to remove the nut from my old large hoop and put it on the new smaller hoop for it to do its job. Now I need to find someone who sells the right size nuts…
