Nice thin black leather tie. The ones I had in the late 80's were made a bit stiffer, let's see how it holds up. Yes, I still have them from the 80s, my black one stole them.

The leather part is a bit questionable. Extremely thin skin when it comes to leather. Almost paper. You can see where the skin is bonded/sealed to the fabric. Serves its purpose, couldn't find better quality. I'll have to use a warm iron when it comes time to use it. The folds of the packaging itself don't relax much. It's functional, just not good quality. It will no doubt look gorgeous in a sock. If you need it, get it.

Stitched edges and fabric backing completely disappear even in daylight. It looks a little like silk from a few yards away, but the soft leather is of good quality, uniform in color and ties in a variety of knots with little effort.
