Nice bright strips with CCT

I bought these to replace cheaper RGB+CCT strips that were too weak. Using a light meter, I found they were at least twice as bright. White is also a much more complete spectrum.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Long time

We set 100 feet, beware of the "bad " segments.

On a 100+ foot installation, it was sad to find bad segments in the middle of several sections. Replacing them will take a lot of time and effort. We're learning to enjoy our quarks, but be sure to test all the colors before completing the installation.

Pros
  • Great Choice
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price

Bad segment in a coil

Received our order quickly - have used them in the past with good results so I expected the same with these but unfortunately there is one bad segment (three LEDs form a segment in these strips ). Red and green work in this segment, blue doesn't. Watch the attached video clip to see the broken segment.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great product and complement to HUE

These LEDs are the perfect addition to the HUE Bridge with Zigbee Controller. Get the same variety of colors and brightness. The only limitation is to use ribbon connectors. Once you've sized them correctly, traditional flip-up strip connectors don't work without some "wiggle". This is because one of the diodes is too close to the cut.

Pros
  • Package Contents: 1 pc. Waterproof IP65 RGB+W+WW LED Strip
Cons
  • Weight

Without Cool White (6500K)

Good brightness on W/WW diodes. RGB diodes are not as bright and have poor color rendering when trying to dim them to 1-5% brightness. The only real problem is that there is no cool white rendering. white/warm white only. This is said to be RGBCCT which is advertised to achieve the 6500k+ white color temperature range. For me it is not critical, but it must be taken into account.

Pros
  • Waterproof IP65 RGB + Cool White (6000K) + Warm White (3000K) LED strip.
Cons
  • Long delivery time

They're great (and work with the WiZ controller).

I have these to enlarge the WiZ strips but they are much better than the included WiZ strips which I only use on one project and WiZ elsewhere use. In the picture, the vertical bar on the right and the loop below are Philips WiZ, and the rest are these. The colors definitely don't match, but I like them better than the original Philips ones. You can scale them down to look like WiZ or rotate them for a brighter look. They also came with well soldered cables (18 gauge if I remember correctly).

Pros
  • Input voltage: 12 VDC. Current: 10A. Power: 120W. Tape Width: 12mm White PCB, can be cut every 9 LEDs at marked intervals
Cons
  • Some small things
