Gift for a 5 year old

I thought it was a bit pricey. However, you get a lot of playing time for your money. I have to say I was a little overwhelmed by the size of the instructions. Looks like a phone book (242 pages in one of the two manuals). But the system worked for us and it worked well. She assembled all the other Lego bricks herself, but it took teamwork and it was beautiful. It took us probably 4 days to start and shut down. I bought a piece of MDF (like plywood) from Home Depot so we could move it around as

Topping the list of most popular logo sets!

Received last night and my 7 year old daughter completed the first two bags with minimal help from me. (The goal was to do the project together.) So far I'm happy with the design, and we've made a small part of the journey with the build. If anything changes to my rating I'll update but it looks like good value for money. After the haunted castle, this set is fast becoming my favorite LEGO set! Update: We have completed Set 6. The set just keeps getting better. The time with my daughter…

My Daughter's Review

PLEASE click the useful button and read the FULL review. Thanks very much! 😁Lego Lighthouse Rescue Center is a great set. It contains 602 parts. I like that it has 5 animals. I also LOVE that the set comes with a glow brick. I think it's so cool that the kit has a "card" with a picture of water. It also comes with Mia and Emma LEGO figures and even has a little heart-shaped bead! I love how LEGO focuses so much on all the little details, like this set has life jackets and a diving helmet. It

Great LEGO set for my 10 year old daughter and her little sister

My 10 year old daughter loved this set and only tackled the project with occasional help. She had a lot of fun building and was very proud when she crossed the finish line. It's such a fun set that it kept her hooked the whole time, and it was technical enough in places that it forced her to develop her technical skills. She followed the directions carefully, and the final product entertained her and her seven-year-old sister for hours. I'm stingy on some things, which makes me reluctant to buy

Pros
  • Great overall performance

  • Almost never

Motivated by building toys

This LEGO Lighthouse Friends set motivated my 5-year-old son so much he learned to wake up in the morning and urinate in the pot instead of his bed. We found the Friends of the Ocean sets to be far more fun and motivating than any other LEGO range. We only had three releases: 1. I wish they had a boy in every big Friends set because boys can save animals too. I would be ok buying the bonus pack if it included a friend style boy. 2. The glowing block at the top of the lighthouse required some…
