Legrand OnQ MgtEnclosure Half-Width Power Strip Module AC1031 Review

The customer had a Legrand panel with 2 regular household surge protectors occupying about half of the panel. This product replaced those surge protectors and saved space as intended. If you have one of these panels, you should always use the components for them. Make life easier for yourself. Yes, and it also comes with adaptive connectors for those panel mount power supplies.

This is the perfect size for my office. Allows for much more efficient use of space. I took off a star because while it fits in my On-Q case, it doesn't fit properly on the AC1040 mounting plate due to the position of the strap slots. I had to break off one of the three tabs and just use one pin. However, it's still pretty safe. That said, it's still the best solution for me.

Reading some reviews people prioritize in reverse order. It's a mountable splitter for your On-Q cabinet, nothing more. "It doesn't look good" is not a reason to offer a product that no one will ever see. It fits perfectly in my cabinet in the lower right corner, and the networking hardware is mounted on a universal plate above it. One star deducted because I agree with what it is. overpriced.

Like many others, I had a normal power strip in my network housing for a while. I don't know how safe it was and if it was allowed to be installed in an enclosure. This one is UL listed and designed specifically for it, so I replaced it to match the code. One less thing to worry about. Installation was pretty easy. I would like the position of the sockets to be slightly different, but it depends on your layout. Yes I think it's overpriced but a small price to pay for peace of mind.

I was very happy to be able to purchase this accessory for our Legrand closet that was installed in our new home. The module is quite large for what it does, so it takes up a lot of case space. If you mount it in the down position, the tail will be a bit longer, making it difficult to fit in the body. The main problem with this module is that the AC outputs are all oriented in the same direction and are often placed too close together. There are many reasons why this is a terrible product. It is bulky and also not easy to assemble. It's cheap plastic, not metal. The cable only runs in one direction and the design is very "one-way", which limits the space in the closet in which it can be installed.
