cute but short lived

very cute and my kids loved it but the first time we changed the batteries it just didn't do anything else. That was a bummer because we liked it when it worked.

Great little toy: baby and toddler toys

Bought for my 2 year old grandson. It definitely passed the test! I love how it shuts off immediately when taken out of the water. It has a large water fountain and changes light when in the water. Great for the pool.

The fountain is finicky

It didn't work at first but the second time I pulled it out of the water it farted. It accidentally stops drawing water and you have to take it out of the water trap, turn it upside down to pour out the remaining water and put it back in place to get it working again. But it works very well.

After repeated use, the water will clog and the motor will not turn off.

At first I was impressed by his water pump. The kids had a lot of fun in the bathroom. However water got into the whale and the pump ran and ran and ran MUCH long after the barrel was dry (24 hours plus the motor was humming!).

Beware of mistakes! on baby and toddler toys

My son loves this toy but buyers beware. When we first used it, 3 dead bugs shot out of the top and into my son's bath water. I was angry of course, I emptied the tub, cleaned it and then refilled it. I ran the toy through more water for a few minutes and saw no more bugs. I'm wary of using it now, there's no way to effectively clean the inside that I know of. But my kids think it's the coolest bath toy so I think it's here to stay.

Nice, but would it be too many on/off buttons?

Who doesn't enjoy loosening complicated screws and removing batteries after bathing a baby, then putting the batteries back in and tightening those same difficult screws before the next bath? I think if your kid never takes a bath, it's not that bad. So, as you can imagine, I've all but given up screws, batteries, and toys because it's such agony. I wondered why they were so cute that they included a screwdriver for "one time service". Now I know this should make up for the horribly flawed…

Worked twice, didn't turn off and didn't work again.

We bought this for our 18 month old because a friend had something similar for his own baby. We were thrilled when it arrived, unpacked it straight away, installed the batteries and tried it out in a bowl of water. We made it, so we threw the box away and got our daughter ready to play with her new special toy in her little pool. After a short play session we took the toy out of the water but it wouldn't stop running. We need to remove the batteries to stop him. Strange. Next time we try to use
