You came early! in Electrical

This is exactly what I needed for my project. I only needed one but had to buy 5. I'm sure I'll put the rest to good use. This is for a project where I have the tuba LEDs in sync with what I'm playing. I don't usually play outside in the rain so can't comment on how waterproof they are.

Ideal for use with radio amateurs

I bought these to make sockets for portable antennas. You can easily install a SO-239 socket and two points for connecting grounding and radiating elements. Buy a Velcro strap and voila, attach it directly to your telescoping pole for quick deployment of a vertical antenna.73 de K5SFC

Light project box

I use this for light electronic projects. It snaps firmly into place and is suitable for my uses - not for prolonged outdoor use or situations where weight bearing is required. I managed to drill through the box and it's not cracked or broken. Not intended for frequent or repeated opening.

Unconventional use for electrical boxes

I wanted to install a light switch for a solar powered light in my shed. I drilled a hole and installed the box, drilled 2 holes for the round push button switches in the lid and a hole for the wires on the top of the box, hooked everything up and love it. The best part is that I still have a few crates left over for other uses that I'll be sure to come up with!

Great boxes but no screws to close them

These are really nicely made boxes but they don't come with the plastic screws that are needed to close them. 4 screws are required to close the case, and when mounting the PCB inside, standoffs are built into the case using a shorter self-tapping screw. The price for it is very good and the covers are very useful and well made. The seller really should include the hardware (almost every other project case comes with at least the screws needed to close the box).

Not a bad price but 1 out of 5 was broken

I had a nice long review on this but my browser ate it. :-( Bottom line, they're very generic (no markings), they have small surface defects around the cap hinge, and one of the ones I received had a cracked cap. They're not too bad for piercing, although I did got a few minor surface cracks (despite using masking tape and enlarging the drill bits), and they don't match well casings that are 10x more expensive (I also recently bought a Hammond Manufacturing casing for $7 and a casing for $10 $…
