📸 Sony E Lensbaby Velvet 28 Review

According to my experience, this lens doesn't work well with electronics. I had a hard time connecting it with my camera and even when I finally did, it didn't produce the results I was hoping for. The image quality was mediocre at best and it just wasn't worth the price.

I have many Lensbaby products - at least 15 or so - but I could not find a sweet spot with this lens as the 28mm focal length is quite wide and yet the lens does not portray mystery and warmth in comparison to other Velvet lenses (like the 56mm or 85mm) as well as the 45mm Sol. Disappointed with this lens but still love the LensBaby and still recommend their Omni system for creative light play.

If you like technically perfect results, this lens may not be for you. If you like using something unusual in your photos to think outside the box, then this is an amazing lens. When the aperture is wide open, you get an ethereal, luminous image in which the light turns into bubbles. Close the aperture to make the image look more useful but with amazing image smoothness. I love the results I get with my Sony a6000 830nm infrared camera.
