Well-made leg pads in tripods and monopods

I've always used water pipe insulating foam for tripod leg pads, but in the end I couldn't stand it and ordered these LensCoat pads. I really like them better than the cheaper insulating pads. They protect my shoulders from impact when carrying a tripod/camera while hiking. And they look cool.

Pros
  • Touch lock for easy carrying
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Small product

I bought these bags primarily to make carrying the Gitzo 1325 tripod more convenient in cold weather. Unfortunately, leg covers have done little to help in this regard. The material used for the outside of the covers was some type of vinyl material that got as cold as the exposed legs of my tripod. There were also no instructions on how to put the covers on, I put them on upside down the first time. I also never understood the purpose of the little elastic loops at the ends of the cases…

Pros
  • Protects tripod from dents and scratches
Cons
  • Requires power socket
