So thin! - Drawing

I have one of those 12 packs of white letter stencils and was hoping for thicker and stronger stencils. Buying her was a big mistake. The letters look good although the thin material seemed very rough from the cuts, but the material is so thin that pressing the cut outs with a pencil/pen presses the stencil very gently and distorts the letter. I rate this garbage / 10.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Not as good as stated

The writing is beautiful but the price is too high because the stencils are NOT STRONG AND SOLID. When doing fine work with a stencil, you don't want the stencil to dangle when you press the edge of a number or letter. If you want toughness, stay away. They had to cost 20 cents each to create and see how much they charge. The markup is funny. live and learn In general, this junk is useless for the reasons I have given. live and learn

Terrible quality cut outs

So after looking at the photos in the product description I took the time to call the manufacturer and specifically asked if the photos looked right as they were awful looked. He said it was just the quality of the photos and the quality of the lines was perfect. But see for yourself what the product looks like in real life. This is NOT a Helvetica stencil to use for serious work. Surprisingly, photos of the larger versions look MUCH better. Unfortunately, this is exactly the size I was looking

Eh quality, Eh font.

Not only are these stencils cut terribly, they're hardly Helvetica! $15 each, they won't be high quality. They are VERY thin, almost like a heavy foil, therefore unstable, the cropping is bad, the font is hardly Helvetica because of all the manufacturing flaws. Process. You'd think a machine could print a font perfectly, but I guess I was wrong, as Westport has clearly proven in its typically poor quality assurance.

Cutting with a broken laser or left-handed scissors?

Helvetica is known for its clean lines, geometry and versatility. These templates are the opposite of all of these characteristics. The edges of the letters are not even uneven in places. Some letters (particularly the lowercase "e") were cut at different angles. So instead of being a uniform width, the stroke is wide at one end, and then one of the sides is skewed to a very important connection point. Absolutely terrible performance. If you want to create a "grunge" or "post-apocalyptic"…
