Bought in one size 8 for a petite (short) slim 8 year old and they fit like they've outgrown them. He will outgrow them within 6 months. Very disappointed considering how cute they are and he loves them. The best advice is to buy 2 years more if you want a medium sized child to grow in it and at least 1 year more. at least they fit. I was very disappointed with this set. I have had other Leveret pajama sets and thought they were of average quality. The first is the rough feel of the fabric, which hasn't improved after washing. I know I don't want to sleep in anything that would be uncomfortable on my skin, so I couldn't justify putting my son to bed in it, especially pants.
